6/A – Giant tun - Tonna galea

A large gastropod that lives on mobile beds and in Posidonia fields. The mollusk, with a short and large foot, is white with numerous black spots; the shell, rather thin and fragile, is light chestnut color or yellowish with vertical striations. It lays its eggs in long pink bands.
